Rubin on Khatami's visit

Khatami’s Visit to Washington [Michael Rubin]

If Khatami really cared about a dialogue of civilizations, he would go to Jerusalem, not Washington. I’m reminded of his October 24, 2000, statements on Iranian television: "In the Qur'an, God commanded to kill the wicked and those who do not see the rights of the oppressed… If we abide by human laws, we should mobilize the whole Islamic World for a sharp confrontation with the Zionist regime… If we abide by the Qur'an, all of use should mobilize to kill."

To invite Khatami to the National Cathedral to talk about tolerance is equivalent to inviting David Duke to talk about race relations.

Exactly right.

What's wrong with this picture?

So let me get this straight........the State Dept is getting ready to grant a visa to Iran's ex-president Khatami, right before the Aug. 31st deadline which will determine whether the U.N. Security Council imposes sanctions on Iran.
And one of the proposed sanctions is on banning their leaders from visiting other countries?
All I have to say is, if the State Dept doesn't immediately thereafter revoke his visa, (we already know Iran isn't going to stop enriching uranium, they never have) then I throw my hands up in total disbelief and disgust!

NOW HEAR THIS >>> KHATAMI IS A LIAR AND GRANTING HIM PERMISSION TO ENTER THIS COUNTRY TO SPREAD HIS PROPAGANDA PLAYS RIGHT INTO THE HANDS OF THE REGIME

Hoax?

This guy they arrested in Thailand in the JonBenet case seems to be a pathological liar. The Boulder DA almost sounded as though she was apologizing in advance in case he doesn't turn out to be the killer.
Very strange

Arrest in JonBenet Ramsey case

I can't wait to hear this guy's story. With the length of the ransom note, he must have been in the house for hours.
I'd love to see the Ramsey family sue the city of Boulder and sue all the radio and tv hosts who accused the Ramsey's of killing their daughter and raked them over the coals.
But I doubt they will sue.

Meanwhile, in N. Korea ...

Sorry to interrupt the Mel Gibson news :

"A South Korean aid group claimed Wednesday that massive floods in North Korea last month left about 54,700 people dead or missing and some 2.5 million homeless."
